PHA∆BLE |
The use of the Pha∆ble is really easy: in order to find the cable phase position |
it’s sufficient to insert the mains cable ends in both Pha∆ble inlets as shown in the photographs: one of the two LEDs placed on the sides of the inserted plug will light up in red: this is the side corresponding to the phase of the examined cable. With the Pha∆ble it’s possibile to check and mark mains cables terminated with Schuko plugs, italian (either small and large) US (but without the earth pin) and in general any other kind, either directly or with the use of an adaptor. It is advisable to mark once and for all the phase position on the side of the plug with a permanent marker; a suitable one it’s included with the Pha∆ble kit. |
To be able to handle and understand the “electric phase” in connection to audio, please refer to our technical FAQ. (in preparation) |
The Pha∆ble has an excellent design obtained out of the milling of a solid plexiglass cylinder, fully designed and produced in Italy: even if its simple function can be easily replaced by a digital multimeter, it is unquestionably much simpler and of immediate use.
The Pha∆ble requires for its working a long-life replaceable lithium battery supplied already installed. |
The Pha∆ble is the second in a series of three accessories all dedicated to solve the practical matters about the correct finding and tune-up of the AC phase in the audio-video setup.
While the Pha∆ser is essential in determining the phase position in the mains inlets, the Pha∆ble permits instead its identification in the unsigned AC mains cables.
The third and last accessory that complements the series, the Phas∆easy, answers the purpose to quantify the parasite currents that each and every electronic expose toward earth and/or toward all other connected ones in order to establish the “best” position of the respective mains cables. |
